Nimble Giant Entertainment is looking for a Content Game Designer (Mid-Level) to join our team in Buenos Aires, under a hybrid work model.
You will play a hands-on role implementing gameplay content, events, and world interactions directly inside Unreal Engine, helping shape dynamic game experiences across multiple platforms.
This position focuses heavily on execution inside the editor—building content, scripting behaviors, integrating assets, and ensuring that features meet design intent, performance requirements, and production quality standards.
Responsibilities
Implement gameplay content and scripted events using Unreal Engine (Blueprints).
Design and implement live world elements, including population behaviors, world interactions, and gameplay events in a living game environment.
Integrate assets (props, FX, characters, interactables, audio, UI) into playable content efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with Systems and Level Designers to bring features into the game world, ensuring clarity, pacing, and player readability.
Prototype gameplay interactions, iterate based on feedback, and polish features through playtesting.
Create compositions, layouts, and small gameplay spaces or scenes within levels using Unreal tools.
Troubleshoot issues, refine functionality, and optimize content in collaboration with QA and Engineering.
Maintain consistency with project direction, gameplay vision, technical limitations, and performance targets.
Participate in documentation of workflows, system behaviors, and implementation practices.
Contribute ideas to improve pipelines, tools, and content creation processes.
Communicate progress, challenges, and dependencies with Leads and Producers.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience as a Content Designer, Gameplay Designer, Technical Designer, or similar role in game development, using hands-on in Unreal Engine (Blueprints required).
Familiarity with mission scripting, encounter design or gameplay triggers.
Experience integrating assets and assembling playable content within the game editor Unreal
Strong understanding of player experience fundamentals: pacing, clarity, difficulty progression, reward loops.
Ability to translate high-level design intentions into executable tasks and polished in-game content.
Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (Design, Engineering, Art, QA).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Portfolio or reel demonstrating gameplay implementation or level work—required.
Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Nice to Have
Experience working with world systems, simulations, or live game ecosystems.
Experience supporting a title through production and/or launch.
Demonstrable playable content (live demo)
Knowledge of basic C++ or strong interest in expanding Blueprint scripting skill set.
Experience building content for PC and/or console platforms.
Familiarity with internal tools or content production pipelines.
